Seraplex receives surplus Red Blood Cells from hospital blood banks and community blood centers that can not be used for transfusion.
We have the ability to source Red Blood Cells from different parts of the United States and we can source Red Blood Cells based on blood type. We have access to In Date Red Blood Cells, Expired Red Blood Cells, Leuko Reduced Red Blood Cells, and Non Leuko Reduced Red Blood Cells. These Rec Cells are excellent for the use in the manufacturing of Hemoglobin A1 C Controls. Validated Shipping Procedures
We ship all red cells in validated, insulated shipping boxes. We add cold packs to the boxes to maintain temperature in transit, regardless of outside temperatures. Ample packing material and insulating material is also added to the boxes to insure that the cold packs to not touch the red cell units in transit and do not freeze the units in transit.
