Recovered Plasma

Seraplex started as a plasma company, purchasing recovered plasma from local hospital blood banks in the Los Angeles area.
Seraplex still purchases Recovered Plasma from hospital blood banks, but also purchases and aggregates Recovered Plasma from community blood centers to be used for plasma fractionation. The Recovered Plasma that Seraplex aggregates is all from FDA registered blood collection facilities in the United States and each supplier is screened by Seraplex’ Quality Assurance Department through quality surveys and on site quality audits and visits.

For in vitro dianostic manufacturing and research use, our Recovered Plasma can be used to make Factor Deficient or Immunodepleted Plasmas. Such factors include Factor II, Factor V, Factor VII, Factor IX, Factor X, Factor XI, Factor XII, and Factor ATIII.

For therapeutic manufacturing, the plasma can be used in Cohn Fractionation processes, or in alternative fractionation methods.

Seraplex can assure that the Recovered Plasma supplied to each customer, whether for in vitro diagnostic manufacturing or for plasma fractionation, is the highest quality material and meets all of the FDA standards for Recovered Blood Plasma.
